ship icon

£25

Characteristics

A large ladder backed carver chair with five rungs and a rush seat. A metal braces secures the right arm to the back and the wicker base is a little untidy from underneath but secure and sturdy to sit on. Otherwise in good, solid condition throughout.

Technical Information

Date: 1790-1820
Height: 110 cm
Width:  63 cm
Depth:  43 cm

Sustainability

The average piece of furniture generates approximately 47kg of carbon dioxide equivalents – roughly the same as burning 5.3 gallons of petrol. Buying this item second-hand versus a newly made equivalent recovers the energy used to make it, rather than generating further emissions and using new materials.
