Characteristics
A George III mahogany octagonal brass bound wine cooler on its original stand. The hinged lid encloses an eight division interior, with brass carrying handles on the side and a fixed stand with square tapering legs on brass castors. A beautiful patina throughout. A small piece of brass trim is missing around the face of the lock, the catch of which does not completely close, leaving a gap at the front of c. 0.5cm when shut, as reflected in the price.

Sustainability
The average piece of furniture generates approximately 47kg of carbon dioxide equivalents – roughly the same as burning 5.3 gallons of petrol. Buying this item second-hand versus a newly made equivalent recovers the energy used to make it, rather than generating further emissions and using new materials.
